Under the general guidance of the Senior Project Manager –the Business Analyst will work with key stakeholders to understand their needs and assist them in aligning their business processes as the ECM is implemented. Duration of consultancy is 11.5 months.

Enterprise Content Management (ECM) project’s goal is to take a systemic approach that introduces and institutionalizes Electronic Content Management (including systems, policies, procedures, standards, guidance, and governance), providing improved search functionality, document and records management, archives management, content management, content reuse and repurposing, and collaboration across UNICEF. As additional benefit it seeks to reduce risks, improve usability of tools, provide significant savings, enable new organizational capabilities and comply with several audit recommendations. These goals will be implemented in keeping with the organizational strategy and information management requirements of stakeholders in various business areas.

Purpose of the job

Under the general guidance of the Senior Project Manager –the Business Analyst will work with key stakeholders to understand their needs and assist them in aligning their business processes as the ECM is implemented. 

Duration of Contract

  • 11.5 Months

Key responsibilities and Deliverables

  • Follow established institutional methodologies to ensuring appropriate consultation with relevant SMEs and targeted stakeholders.
  • Perform requirements analysis, modelling, and requirements life cycle management.
  • Provide support and guidance to field offices (in line with guidelines) and HQ units in the alignment of current processes to ensure all field offices adhere to the timelines defined in the ECM roll-out project schedule.
  • Provide guidance and interpretation in business process alignment.
  • Provide project management support as needed.
  • Support the ECM project team more broadly on other tasks that may arise over the course of the assignment.

Requirements:

  • Masters’ Degree in Systems or Business Process Analysis or a directly related technical field.
  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience related to Information Technology
  • Experience working in the UN or other international development organizations.
  • Experience in agile project delivery
  • Experience in project management
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Language:

  • Fluency in English is required;
  • Knowledge of another UN language is an asset.

Evaluation method 

Individual consultants will be evaluated based on the cumulative analysis methodology (weighted scoring method), where the award of the contract will be made to the individual consultant whose offer has been evaluated and determined as:

  • Responsive/compliant/acceptable; and
  • Having received the highest score out of a pre-determined set of technical skills and financial proposal specific to the solicitation.
