Under the direction of the Senior Project Manager, the Associate Project Manager will facilitate the success of the key team members by identifying and removing roadblocks to key outputs, tracking project delivery, and supporting project activities. Duration of the consultancy is 11.5 months.

Enterprise Content Management (ECM) project’s goal is to take a systemic approach that introduces and institutionalizes Electronic Content Management (including systems, policies, procedures, standards, guidance, and governance), providing improved search functionality, document and records management, archives management, content management, content reuse and re-purposing, and collaboration across UNICEF. As additional benefit it seeks to reduce risks, improve usability of tools, provide significant savings, enable new organizational capabilities and comply with several audit recommendations. These goals will be implemented in keeping with the organizational strategy and information management requirements of stakeholders in various business areas.

Purpose of the job:

Under the direction of the Senior Project Manager, the Associate Project Manager will facilitate the success of the key team members by identifying and removing roadblocks to key outputs, tracking project delivery, and supporting administrative activities. 

Duration of Contract

  • 11.5 Months

Key responsibilities and Deliverables

  • Removes project impediments.
  • Monitors sprint and task progress.
  • Supports the project team as needed.
  • Monitors team dynamics and promotes continuous dialogue.
  • Helps team increase output.
  • Support the project as the needs arise.
  • Supports administrative activities.

 Requirements

  • Masters’ Degree in Systems or Business Process Analysis or a directly related technical field.
  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience related to Information Technology
  • Experience working in the UN or other international development organizations.
  • Experience in project management with a certification being desirable.
  • Experience with agile project management methodologies.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong influencing skills.

Language:

  • Fluency in English is required;
  • Knowledge of another UN language is an asset.

Evaluation method 

Individual consultants will be evaluated based on the cumulative analysis methodology (weighted scoring method), where the award of the contract will be made to the individual consultant whose offer has been evaluated and determined as:

  • Responsive/compliant/acceptable; and
  • Having received the highest score out of a pre-determined set of technical skills and financial proposal specific to the solicitation.
