UNICEF Jordan Country Office is looking for qualified and experienced HR Assistant who will support JCO HR Section with implementation of HR activities.

How can you make a difference? 

  1. Assists the HR Unit with recruitment administration: drafting initial HR long/short list, communicates with candidates and Hiring Units, organizes and administers the different stages of assessments (including interviews) during the entire process, conducts reference checks, finalizes case documents and obtains approval from the different level of approval authorities (CRB, HR RO, RD, Representative), coordinates with GSSC on the onboarding process in TMS (including medical clearance etc).
  2. Supports with organizing newly recruited staff members’ induction briefing and onboarding process (installation sheet, sharing bio data etc).
  3. Assists with staff Leave Administration by updating quarterly and annual leave plans for the entire office, conducting leave verification exercise on a quarterly basis and supports offices in managing leave data in SAP/HR.
  4. Maintains, updates and validates HR records, and manages HR Files for RO/JCO.  Updates staff lists and organogrammes as required.
  5. Supports the drafting of United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund (UNJSPF) actions, Medical Insurance coverage, and coordinates medical examination for newly appointed staff in RO and JCO.
  6. Prepares documents for presentation to different authorities: Recruitment Panel, CRB, Learning and Development Committee, Staff Well-being Committee, RO etc.
  7. Prepares tabulation tables for different activities as/when required (Trainings, Dashboards, Indicators etc).
  8. Monitors the performance appraisal completion rate for RO/JCO and follows up with staff and supervisors to ensure deadlines are met.
  9. Assists the HR Specialist in preparing different HR reports and statistics.
  10. Performs other duties, as required by supervisor.

 

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

  • Completion of secondary education, preferably supplemented by technical or university courses related to the work of the organization.
  • A minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible human resources, administrative and/or clerical work experience is required
  • Fluency in English and Arabic is required.
