Under the supervision of the HR Manager, the post will be responsible for the administration, sourcing of, and engagement process of international consultants and individual contractors. The post will also engage with different sections to develop and manage a roster of consultants. It will also provide advice and support to country offices in all areas of consultants and individual contractors.

How can you make a difference?


Under the direct supervision of the Human Resources Specialist, the incumbent will be carrying out the following functions:

1. Promote equity, transparency and consistency in the interpretation, implementation and administration of HR policy, procedures and guidelines related to the recruitment of Consultants and Individual Contractors.

2. Support, implement and administer the effective and timely recruitment processes in the hiring the best talents available to support the programmatic and humanitarian needs of the office.

3.  Ensure timely, equitable, transparent and systematic administration of Consultants and Individual Contractors contracts renewal and termination.

4.  Conduct timely and effective training related to the hiring and management of consultants to staff and managers at JCO.

6.  Monitor consultant and individual contractor’s issues and support/advise management and staff as appropriate to improve and resolve the issues. Provide administrative support to the office management bodies in the capacity of HR focal point in the office.

7. Provide technical and administrative support and advice related to the hiring and administration of Consultant and Individual Contractors contracts as and when required by Sections.

8. Engage with Sections to develop and manage rosters of Consultants in all programmatic and humanitarian assistance areas.

9. Participate in in-country inter-agency activities to source consultants and establish consultancy market surveys. 

10. Supports the HR Unit with administration of regular staff recruitment process and other HR related activities (including providing support with the Learning and Development Plan implementation) as/when required.

11. Perform other duties as requested by supervisor.

 

 

To qualify an advocate for every child you will have…

  • Education: Secondary education is required. University degree in social sciences or other relevant disciplines (human resources, business administration, international relations, psychology, etc) is desired. Additional professional training an advantage.  
  • Experience: Minimum 7 years of relevant professional work experience in Human Resources, Administration and Contracts Administration (consultants, SSA, IC etc) is required.  
  • Language: Fluency in English and Arabic is required.
