NRC Geneva is looking for an Intern to support NRC’s Institutional Partnerships Advisers team for six months, in the areas of program support, partnership brokering, fundraising and information management . The Intern will provide administrative and logistical support to the Institutional Partnerships Advisers (IPAs). The Intern will be expected to work closely with other members of the Geneva team to ensure the production of timely meeting minutes, preparatory documentation and draft reports.

Job description

  • Mapping out, through a desk review, NRC current partnership with UN and Swiss donors.
  • Follow and support NRC work and projects on humanitarian financing in the workstream of the Grand Bargain.
  • Maintain an updated database of concept notes, proposal submitted and agreements signed with UN and Swiss donors.
  • Monitor NRC donors’ websites for funding opportunities.
  • Monitor latest donor reports on humanitarian emergencies in the field and send the information to the country offices on a weekly basis.
  • Systematise information available in terms of donor funding rules and regulations for relevant donors.
  • Attend relevant meetings and write related minutes upon request from the IPAs.
  • Follow up on latest developments related to partnerships, programmes and funding opportunities.
  • Any other tasks assigned by the IPAs or other NRC staff.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or currently enrolled with a completed Bachelor’s degree in International Relations or a relevant field.
  • Advanced proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Proficiency in French is an advantage.
  • Proven research, analytical and documentation skills.

We offer

  • A paid internship for a period of six months, starting in November 2017.

  • Please note that for reasons related to the procedure for work permits in Switzerland, only candidates with nationality of an EU or EFTA country can be considered for this internship.
