The WASH section of UNICEF East Asia and Pacific Regional Office is seeking a qualified individual to provide support to WASH EAPRO in a number of ongoing WASH Projects pertaining to creation, classification, collection, communication and managing the knowledge sharing in the region by developing and structuring WASH knowledge exchange platforms and sites including the SharePoint.

Work Assignment:

WASH knowledge management and SharePoint:  structure and finalize the development and design of the WASH SharePoint in close coordination with EAPRO WASH team, categorize and sort information, assist in collection and upload of information, help with the dissemination and communication and launch of the EAPRO WASH SharePoint.  

 

End Product:  Development and Launch of WASH SharePoint. 

 

Duration of Assignment:  3-6 months

Duty station is Bangkok (Combination of office-based and home-based work arrangement)

 

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a degree programme in a undergraduate or graduate school, preferable in business administration, management, library and information sciences (Applicants enrolled in a undergraduate school must have completed at least two years of full-time studies at a university or equivalent institution towards the completion of an undergraduate degree)
  • Have good academic performance as demonstrated by recent university or institution records
  • Experiences in library, information sciences, ICT, and web-design
  • Knowledge in ICT applications, web-design is an advantage
  • Knowledge in WASH programme is a strong advantage
  • Additional consideration will be given for any past work experience
  • Language proficiency requirements: Fluent in English
  • Able to adapt and work in a multicultural setting
  • Able to start work in July 2017

 

Conditions of Intern:

  1. Expenses: Intern does not receive any financial assistance. Costs and arrangements for travel, visa, accommodation and living expenses are the responsibilities of the Intern.
  2. Visa: Intern is responsible for obtaining the necessary entry visa and arranging their travel to Bangkok. UNICEF/EAPRO will assist only in issuing documents required in visa processing.
  3. Health/Medical insurance: Intern is required to hold valid health/accident insurance. UNICEF accepts no responsibilities for costs arising from accidents and/or illness incurred during the internship whether on or off UNICEF premises.
  4. Employment: There is no expectancy of employment at the end of the internship.

 

Provision of Supervising and Monitoring:

The intern will work under the supervision of WASH Specialist.
