The incumbent will contribute to strengthen monitoring and evaluation functions in health and nutrition programming, including routine data collection systems and periodic evaluations.

How can you make a difference?

You will contribute to strengthen monitoring and evaluation functions in health and nutrition programming, including routine data collection systems and periodic evaluations. You will ensure that the National HMIS includes strong links to community health worker implementation and nutrition activities, that on-going (rolling) evaluation of health and nutrition programmatic interventions guides UNICEF and national programming. You will also be responsible to provide a strong monitoring and evaluation component for emergency interventions, including seasonal assessments, and to ensure that planning programmatic evaluations are guided and well implemented.

 

As an advocate for every child you will have…

  • An Advanced university degree in Public Health and Nutrition, Child Development, Water Sanitation, Public Administration, Social Policy, Social Development, Community Development, or other relevant disciplines. 
  • Five years of professional work experience at the national and international levels in planning, programming, implementation monitoring and evaluation of technical cooperation programmes related to Health and Nutrition. Professional work experience in a managerial position, or a technical expert position in child survival & development, health and nutrition care.
  • Demonstrated expertise and skills in quantitative data analysis and systems
  • Field work experience and background/familiarity with Emergency.
  • Fluency in English and Portuguese.
