We are looking for a highly qualified candidate who has the skills to engage in our organization as a Psychosocial Support Assistant
Who are we
DRC has been operating in the Middle East and North Africa for over a decade, running a combination of livelihood, protection, advocacy and relief projects. DRC has six project offices throughout Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Tunisia/Libya, Turkey, and both a country and regional office in Jordan.
DRC Lebanon has been assisting the Syrian displaced, fleeing Syria into northern Lebanon, since May 2011. This assistance has come through the provision of food and non-food items, various outreach activities (registration, follow-up and awareness sessions) rehabilitation of collective shelters and the implementation of quick impact projects.

Duties
• Conduct mobile field information sessions 4 days per week to refugee settlement and host population areas,
• Identify and refer most vulnerable identified cases as well as individuals faced with protection concerns (incl. GBV, Child protection, etc.) to relevant services;
• Ensure Protection components are on track, including the development of protection monitoring and community-based committee’s tools (ie. community and household levels questionnaires).
• Support analysis of collected data and trend with the Protection officer and team;
• Identify community focal points and settlement representatives to organize and conduct protection activities and follow up;
• Meet weekly with service providers to update service mapping in coordination with the PSS officer;
• Support the development of localized committees with relevant local stakeholders (incl. municipalities, service providers, etc.) through organization of regular meetings
• Work with closely with PSS and Capacity building officers to ensure GBV/Child protection prevention and response is adequately addressed across sectors and humanitarian interventions;
About you
To be successful in this role you must have Bachelor in Social work, political science, law or related field; Ability to maintain confidentiality, respect, non-discrimination and safety of client at all times; Minimum two years experience in an NGO, preferably in social or legal work and Fluency in Arabic required

Ideally you will also have Master degree in Social work, Law, Human rights or other related field and Experience working for International NGO is preferred.
We offer
An interesting job in one of the world’s best NGOs. DRC will offer the successful applicant a contract until end of December 2017, renewable dependent on both funding and performance. You must be available to start work from August 2017 and be willing and able to work in Saida.
Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment for National staff. This position will be placed at level B+1, equivalent to 1450 USD per month.
