Job description

  • Facilitate legal trainings, community sensitization sessions, focus group discussions and exchange visits between successful Shura / Jirga members and court;
  • Conduct follow up meetings with training participants
  • Research, develop and implement training modules/seminars on property law, and inheritance rights, CDR (Collaborative Dispute Resolution) and civil documents including the development of impact assessment materials;
  • Systematically collect relevant data and maintain administrative records related to the training;
  • Work closely with the legal and information unit to target relevant decision makers for NRC capacity building activities;
  • Conduct assessments of the participants as required;
  • Participate in preparation of monthly reports and thematic reports,
  • Participate in NRC staff seminars and training, when scheduled;
  • Represent NRC in coordination meetings, when requested and promote exchange of information with relevant external actors;
  • Respect the anonymity of clients approaching NRC and the confidentiality of information received from any clients;
  • Any other tasks as instructed by immediate superior.

Qualifications

  • University degree in Law and political science or Sharia Law.
  • 2-3 years work experience in the field of capacity building.
  • Knowledge of the local language (Pashto and Dari)
  • Experience with start-up, exit or similar strategy of the organization
  • Ability to work as an effective member of the team;
  • Ability to travel to field for extended periods;
  • Understanding of issues faced by refugees, returnees and IDPs;
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Office).

Education field

  • Education title: University degree in Law and political science or Sharia Law.
