In order to support the successful implementation of the Office Management Plan (OMP), the HR Manager (Change Management) will design and lead a complex change management project for effective job mapping and timely recruitment into new roles so that all new staff are in place by Q1 2018.

Under the supervision of the Chief of HR, this role will provide strategic human resources support for the implementation of the 2018-21 Office Management Plan (OMP) for the Private Fundraising Partnerships (PFP) Division of UNICEF, based in Geneva. The OMP has been designed to support ambitious growth in fundraising targets and as a result will result in significant number of recruitments and changes in staffing starting in Q1 2018 with the bulk of recruitment activity taking place in Q3 & Q4 2017.

How can you make a difference?

Reporting to the Chief of HR, the HR Manager (Change Management) will undertake the following activities at the Geneva office:

  • Build on current draft high-level HR Implementation Plan, and develop a detailed HR project plan for the implementation, which includes the following;
  • Work closely with senior managers to collate and track all new job descriptions, offering expert guidance where necessary, and liaising with colleagues in Division of Human resources HR for classification.
  • Plan and oversee organization of all recruitment for new roles, including overseeing the selection and coordination of recruitment panels, within agreed KPI’s, ensuring a fair, transparent process resulting in the selection of a diverse group of high calibre staff.
  • Lead small team of recruiters to design a fit for purpose selection process, advising managers on selection processes that meets their individual needs.
  • Produce accurate, consistent organization charts for the new PFP structure within the OMP.
  • Liaise with the Chief of HR and Internal Communications Manager to design and implement a staff communication plan (as a subset of the overall project plan) including process for selection and stating preferences for staff on abolished posts.
  • Provide regular updates to the Chief of HR on activities, ensuring that all HR resources for the project are allocated effectively and agreed timelines are met.
  • Any other relevant tasks as requested by the Chief of HR

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

  • Advanced Excel Skills.
  • PowerPoint would be an advantage.
  • An advanced university degree (Master’s or higher) or equivalent backgrounds, in Human Resources, Business Administration, International Relations, Social Sciences, Psychology or related areas.
  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience in Human Resources.
  • Experience in leading large-scale complex change management programmes  in an international organization.

 

  • Fluency in English is required.
  • Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an asset.
