About the job: 
 
 
The ME Specialist will assist the QA Coordinator in the Monitoring and Evaluation of DRC’s Country Programme in Afghanistan by processing and analysing data generated by assessments and by monitoring project progress; keeping the M&E system updated with information obtained from field offices; and compilation of M&E reports. The incumbent, has to have exposure to a wide range of information management systems related to humanitarian activities and he/she should have an expertise in Excel and statistical software, advanced knowledge and experience of standard Monitoring and Evaluation procedures, experience in playing with large dataset for data analysis and reporting, and he/she has to have excellent communication and inter-personal skills. 
 
 
Responsibilities: 
 
 
  • Support in the development of M&E tools. 
  • Support the development of baselines, endlines, assessments, surveys and evaluations. 
  • Support in programme report compilation and data analysis for Livelihoods, Protection and Emergency programmes.  
  • Create and integrate graphics in reports and information products to help visualize meaning of data. 
  • Support the development of new programmes based on quantitative data analysis and based on qualitative data through field visits.  
  • Research external data for inclusion of reporting on internal data.  
  • Support in ensuring programme quality. 
 
 
About you 
 
 
To be successful in this role you must have: 
 
 
Experience and technical competencies: 
 
 
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience within the humanitarian field 
  • Minimum 1-year of relevant working experience in M&E design and implementation 
  • At least 1-year experience in field project review, projects reporting and evaluation 
  • Experience from working in complex and volatile contexts 
  • Documented results related to the position's responsibilities 
 
 
Education and Qualification: 
 
 
  • Bachelor Degree in social sciences, humanitarian and/or development studies, Statistics, Management Information System, M&E, PCM or fields related to the position 
  • Maters, Diplomas or Certification in M&E, IMS, Statistics or fields related to the position an added value 
 
 
Languages: 
 
 
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal 
  • Ability to work in both Dari and/or Pashto

We offer: 
 
 
DRC-DDG will offer the successful applicant employment contract till the end of 2017, renewable dependent on both funding and performance. 
Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment for national staff. This position will be placed at salary Grade C, level 1, basic 1,155 USD.
