ERP Specialist (Master Data Management)(P3)

Organizational Setting

The Department of Management (MT) provides a ‘platform of services’ that serves as a foundation for the successful delivery of the IAEA’s scientific and technical programmes. Its mission statement is as follows\: “MT is a partner and a business enabler that champions change and efficiency, leveraging a common purpose”. Thus, among other support activities, it assists a scientific manager in recruiting the right expert, helps a technical officer coordinate the purchase of radiation equipment, and ensures that all Board documents are translated and distributed on a timely basis to Member States.

The Division of Information Technology provides support to the IAEA in the field of information and communication technology (ICT), including information systems for technical programmes and management. It is responsible for planning, developing and implementing an ICT strategy, for setting and enforcing common ICT standards throughout the Secretariat and for managing central ICT services. The IAEA's ICT infrastructure comprises state of the art hardware and software platforms in a partially decentralized environment. The Division has implemented an IT service management model based on ITIL (IT Infrastructure Library) and Prince2 (Projects in a Controlled Environment) best practices.

The IAEA's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, known as the Agency-wide Information System for Programme Support (AIPS), was implemented in a multi-phased phased approach beginning in 2011 and completing in 2017. AIPS provides a single, fully-integrated solution that standardizes and improves efficiency of business processes by leveraging the Oracle ERP suite of products. AIPS encompasses 8 business domains\: finance, procurement, programme and project management, planning and budgeting, human resources and payroll, contacts, travel and events management. The AIPS Management Section (AMS) within the Division of Information Technology manages the operations, maintenance, improvements, and support for the AIPS system in collaboration with business process owners. The AMS Section consists of approximately 20 staff members and is led by a Section Head, who reports to the Director of Information Technology/CIO.


Main Purpose

The ERP Specialist (Master Data Management) is a member of the AIPS Management Section (AMS) and reports to the AMS ERP Lead. He/she provides advice on, applies technical and functional knowledge to, and provides Master Data Management (comprising of parties, suppliers, banks and contacts) supporting the AIPS operations.


Role

The ERP Specialist (Master Data Management) is\: 1) a functional knowledge expert, applying strong knowledge of Oracle eBusiness Suite modules including\: Oracle Trading Community Architecture, Oracle Customer Data Librarian, Oracle Customers Online, Oracle Supplier Management (Supplier Hub and Supplier Lifecycle Management), Oracle Marketing, Oracle iSupplier Portal, Oracle Purchasing, Oracle Payables, Oracle Cash Management and the corresponding business processes.; 2) a level 2 support agent, addressing issues and requests not resolved by the first level support staff and providing expert guidance on AIPS application. The knowledge is applied to manage and resolve incidents and problems as well as design and implement changes related to the above areas of the AIPS system.

  • Provide functional application and business expertise to support end users in the area of Master data management (comprising of suppliers, banks and contacts) based on Oracle Trading Community Architecture, Oracle Marketing, Oracle Customer Data Librarian, Oracle Customers Online, Oracle Supplier Management (Supplier Hub and Supplier Lifecycle Management) and Oracle iSupplier Portal.
  • Handle and provide solutions for incidents and application service requests and identify business process improvement opportunities.
  • Participate in the implementation of change requests (new features, new RICEFW components, configuration settings, modifications to existing features).
  • Maintain the configuration of live ERP modules in the area of Master Data Management.
  • Actively participate in testing to validate if the implemented features meet requirements.
  • Document functional requirements to support application change requests.
  • Provide AIPS Application Level 2 support as needed.
  • Manage issues with integrations with several legacy systems and interact with relevant stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of user support and training modules and manuals. Deliver training to end users in support of use of the application, or upgrades, and enhancements.

Qualifications, Experience and Language skills

  • University degree in information technology, management, computer sciences or related fields.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in working with the implementation and support of Oracle E-Business Suite application, preferably with more than 2 years’ experience in Oracle eBusiness Suite Release 12.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience working with Oracle Trading Community Architecture, Oracle Customer Data Librarian, Oracle Customers Online and Oracle Supplier Management (Supplier Hub and Supplier Lifecycle Management).
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in integrations and data migration in an enterprise environment.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in information and knowledge sharing environments.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in implementing an enterprise scale solution.
  • Knowledge of Oracle Marketing, Oracle Purchasing, Oracle Payables, Oracle Cash Management is an asset.
  • Excellent oral and written command of English. Knowledge of other official IAEA languages (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian and Spanish) is an asset.

Remuneration

The IAEA offers an attractive remuneration package including a tax-free annual net base salary starting at US $58583 (subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance), a variable post adjustment which currently amounts to US $ 25366, dependency benefits, rental subsidy, education grant, relocation and repatriation expenses; 6 weeks' annual vacation, home leave, pension plan and health insurance
