Position Summary:

The SRHR Specialist is located in the China Country Office (CO) and reports to the UNFPA Deputy Representative

The SRHR Specialist ensures the effective management of UNFPA activities in the areas of sexual and reproductive health and rights with a focus on integrated Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) policy, rights-based family planning, midwifery workforce development, and Reproductive Health Commodity Security (RHCS) in the context of South-South and triangular cooperation  (SSTC). S/he leads project formulation and evaluation, joint programming initiatives and national development frameworks. S/he leads the SRH programme team and collaborates with the CO’s operations/administrative support staff.

Requirements:

Qualifications and Experience 

Education: 

Advanced degree in Public health, Demography, Gender and/or Social Statistics with a first degree in medicine is required.

Knowledge and Experience:

Five years professional experience in the field of sexual and reproductive health, with experience in programme/ project management.

Languages:

Fluency in Chinese is required. A working knowledge of English is required.

Other Desirable Skills:

Proficiency in current office software applications.
