UNICEF Global Shared Services Centre is seeking a HR Assistant to support in the areas of HR Maintenance and HR Master Data Management on a temporary appointment basis for a period of 6 months. UNICEF Global Shared Services Centre is seeking a HR Assistant to support in the areas of HR Administration and Master Data Management on a temporary appointment for a period of 6 months. This opportunity is ideal for early career HR professionals who wish to gain international exposure to a progressive and expanding Centre of Excellence.

The post of Human Resources Assistant (HR Master Data Management) is situated in the HR Master Data team within the Maintenance team of the GSSC HR Administration Section. Under the direct supervision of HR Officer, and overall guidance of the HR Specialist, the incumbent provides technical support to end-users of the Human Resources Systems and HR administrators for Time and Attendance (T&A) processes, runs routine reports and controls on the HR Master Data quality and proceed with required HR Master Data updates and corrections. As part of the HR Master Data team, the post incumbent will also participate to the testing of routine system changes and take part in specific projects related to the maintenance of HR data quality for UNICEF staff globally.

This will involve:

Provide support to SAP users and the HR Administration team for the T&A module
• Act as the first point of contact for T&A queries and requests to provide functional and technical support to the GSSC HR Administration team
• Monitor the incoming tickets and incidents in Service Manager for T&A related tickets created by the Country Offices; resolve and close the submitted queries and requests. 

Review, analyze and correct various HR Master Data in scope of the HR data clean-up project
• Run SAP-driven HR reports and proceed with the corrections in SAP (e.g. absence quotas, quota corrections, time evaluation errors, etc).
• Assist the HR Master Data team in controlling HR Master Data quality; liaise with country offices and divisions for data and records reconciliation.
• Update and/or correct HR Master Data in relation to third-party projects (e.g. BCM).

Participate in the implementation of routine changes of HR Master Data and its management;
• Perform the business testing for routine changes (e.g. Holiday Calendar and Work Schedule Rule updates)
• Identify potential system issues in SAP HR and participate in the creation of new change request with the assistance of senior team members

Assist the HR Master data team in controlling the HR data quality
• Run, review and edit specific monthly control reports (e.g. contract expiry report)
• Draft correspondence to follow up on HR Master Data correction
• Participate in the review and correction of other HR data modules

As an advocate for every child, you will have…

• Completion of secondary education (i.e. high school diploma) is a minimum requirement.
• University level courses in human resources, business administration, or information technology is desirable.
• Advanced knowledge in the Microsoft Suite of Products (including MS Word, MS Excel & MS PowerPoint) is required.
• Previous hands-on experience in planning, organizing and delivering technical HR system support services and reporting capacity are highly desirable.
• Work experience in the areas of human resources, business administration, or information technology with focus on HR Master Data update and reporting in SAP or other ERP is required. Previous experience as an advanced user in SAP (particularly in the Time and Attendance module and HR reporting) is desirable.  
• Fluency in English (verbal and written) is required. Knowledge of an additional UN Language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish) is considered an asset.
• Knowledge of the local language of the duty station is an asset.
