Accounting Analyst

The International Potato Center (CIP) is seeking a proactive and responsible Accounting Analyst with high level of commitment and analytical thinking to update general accounts and financial reports, ensuring that the information is accurate and manageable by the Finance team.

The Center: CIP is a not-for-profit international agricultural research-for-development organization with a focus on potato, sweet potato, and Andean roots and tubers. The position: This position will be based in Lima, Peru, and will report to the Corporate Controller. Main Duties and Accountabilities:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, with diploma or specialization in Finance. • At least 4 years of professional experience in accounting, preferably in a non-profit environment. • Knowledge and experience using accounting software packages (ERP preferable). • Experience and knowledge of Not-for-profit accounting, as well as being up to date with accounting techniques and trends.

• Knowledge and experience in the application of IFRS, Budget development and management, Statistical methods and analysis, and Audit and Taxation.• Proficiency in MS Office, especially in Excel. • Intermediate – advanced English level, written and oral.
