NRC advocates for the rights of displaced populations and offers assistance within the shelter, education, emergency food security, legal assistance, and water,sanitation and hygiene sectors.

The Norwegian Refugee Council has approximately 5000 committed and competent employees involved in projects across four continents. In addition, NRC runs one of the world’s largest standby rosters -NORCAP, with 650 professionals, ready to be deployed on 72 hours notice when a crisis occurs

The purpose of the Regional Agresso Technical Controller is to support the country offices in the use of Agresso in accordance with NRC policies and procedures. The postion will also cover a country in the region as Controller and in this regard will perform quality and compliance control.

Job description

• Compliance and adherence to NRC policies, guidance and procedures.
• Give support on Agresso related problems to staff in the region, to include travel to country offices in the region.
• Train relevant staff members on the Agresso system and how it can be used effectively for managing finance, human resources and logistics processes in the region.
• Administer access to Agresso for new and existing users.
• Provide financial technical support to the Country Offices.
• Support and monitor compliance with the finance handbooks and NRC policies, and respective quality assurance control checks.
• Coordinate and consolidate the Country Office’s budgeting and reporting and produce required analysis and reports assigned by Regional Support Director.
• Provide control checks to the COs to ensure compliance to the finance handbook, pre-agreed through travel visits to the country offices.
• Ensure that best practices are identified, documented and disseminated both within the region and beyond.
• Provide Finance capacity building in relevant countries and for the Program Advisors in the region.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience as Finance Advisor/Expert or similar positions in a humanitarian/recovery context
• Experience from working in complex and volatile contexts
• Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities
• Fluency in English, both written and verbal
