Purpose of Assignment: 1. Developing investment and outreach strategy for VR/AR startups for UNICEF Ventures 2. Developing supporting materials for the VR/AR outreach 3. Project management, documentation, and external communication on UNICEF Venture’s engagement with VR/AR investees 4. Developing outreach strategy for VR/AR activities supporting programmes in UNICEF Country Offices 5. Project management and support of all VR/AR projects developed by the Office of Innovation with UNICEF Country Offices 6. Supporting external communication on UNICEF Venture’s engagement with VR/AR 7. Strategizing event calendar across all three units of the Office of Innovation: 8. Events is a part of the team comprised of Partnerships, Design and Communications creating strong coordination and execution of events for the Office of Innovation and UNICEF. 9. Support execution of all events that are part of the annual work plan 10. Maintain Innovation brand identity in everything that we do

Purpose of the Assignment

2. Developing supporting materials for the VR/AR outreach

3. Project management, documentation, and external communication on UNICEF Venture’s engagement with VR/AR investees

4. Developing outreach strategy for VR/AR activities supporting programmes in UNICEF Country Offices

5. Project management and support of all VR/AR projects developed by the Office of Innovation with UNICEF Country Offices

6. Supporting external communication on UNICEF Venture’s engagement with VR/AR

DESCRIPTION OF ASSIGNMENT

Under this contract, the work will be allocated as follow :

● 40% days for VR/AR related duties.

● 60% days for event duties.

Duration: 11.5 months

Duty station: New York HQ

Payment plan

Monthly payment, based on monthly tasks and progress reports, approved upon monthly review with supervisor.

Consultant is responsible for his/her own health insurance

Consultant is eligible for standard in- and out-of-country DSA for all work-related travel

Qualifications or specialized knowledge/experience required for the assignment:

 

● Bachelor’s degree and/or Master’s degree and 8 years of progressively responsible experience and a track record in the field of events

● Minimum 2 years of experience working in the VR/AR for good space

● Experience with innovation and technology events

● Experience with humanitarian and development events

● Experience working in a startup environment

● Experience managing teams

● Experience in brand development and brand scaling

● Solid understanding of VR/AR latest advances for humanitarian purposes

● Exceptional project coordination and communication skills

● Familiarity with UNICEF’s Innovation work an asset

● Prior experience in working on children’s issues an asset

Languages

Proven experience working with a diverse team in a rapidly-changing work environment Languages Fluency in English. Competence in another UN language preferred (where applicable).
