Background

Who are we?

Our Unit offers a stimulating and versatile internship in an international environment with contact to various partners from some 166 countries with UNDP presence. We are a team who work in a dynamic and informal atmosphere, and we expect our interns to become vital members of the team.

Project Description

The eRegistry Project is the deployment of the eRegistry application to Country Offices and selected HQ units. The eRegistry Application is designed to: 1) Register documents that are received in physical, paper format, as well as emailed documents and 2) Route and track documents to ensure the proper person is notified to take the appropriate action.

As an application to reduce paper flows in the office, automate business processes and an effort to ingest documents into the corporate SharePoint document management platform, the project entails both technical and non-technical aspects and will have other team members to assist in the configuration processes in the individualized deployments, maintain the software components and assist in the management and metrics of the rollout and deployment to clients.

As part of the rollout and deployment cycle, OIMT is providing bug fixes, patches and improving the overall management of the product delivery. There are some outstanding issues that require immediate attention, including a bug in the Action Workflows (based in Nintex Workflows). Other issues are operational matters – the process of automating the multi-step rollout and deployment process, setting up a dashboard of the eRegistry metrics and resource to assist in the OCC configuration steps (OCR document training of sample documents submitted by CO)
