The incumbent supports the development of communication materials for the Executive Board and updates the Executive Board section of the UNFPA website.  This includes:

·         Monitoring and expediting the flow and overall processing of Executive Board documentation, with a strong focus on accuracy, timeliness and adherence to deadlines; to manage the traditional and electronic dissemination of documents; and to operate and update the relevant home pages and links of the UNFPA Executive board website using web-based technologies;

·         Providing administrative support for Executive Board matters; logistical support for smooth functioning of Executive Board meetings; maintaining up to-date record of Executive Board members; contributing to finalization, submission, processing, and distribution of all Executive Board documentation in addition, acts as the liaison with United Nations Documents Control and in-house expert on format and style of United Nations documents in the absence of Editorial Research Associate.

DO YOU HAVE:

  • 5 years of relevant experience, with excellent skills in administration and some experience in research assistance;
  • Previous experience in the UN an advantage
  • Previous experience with Content Management Systems, particularly Drupal 7, an advantage
  • Good writing and communications skills, strong interpersonal and organizational skills; 
  • Computer literacy - Word, Excel, Power-point, Adobe PDF, etc. and good knowledge of Atlas/Peoplesoft.
  • Completion of secondary education;
  • Successful completion of the UN GGST
