Background

Duties and Responsibilities

HR Consultant will be providing the following services:

  • Provision of support to the surge in recruitments including preparation of vacancy announcements, screening candidates, and convening panel interviews;
  • Maintenance of recruitment related data;
  • Coordination and collaboration with HR Specialists on recruitment activities;
  • Provision of support to establishment of rosters and management of databases;
  • Provision of support to activities related to e-recruitment system pilot;
  • Provide other support to the HR team, as necessary

Required Skills and Experience

Education:

  • Secondary education; university degree would be desirable, but it is not a requirement;

Experience:

  • At least 2 years of experience handling recruitment for international organizations and administrative Human Resources experience;
  • Development experience and knowledge of the United Nations policies, procedures and practices, particularly those related to human resources and operations preferable;
  • Ability to work in a multi-ethnic environment with sensitivity and respect for diversity, including gender balance;
  • A high sense of confidentiality, diplomacy and urgency is required.

Languages:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English are required;
  • Knowledge of another UN language would be an asset.
