Job description

  • Line management of CC project field staff
  • Adherence to NRC policies, guidance and procedures
  • Contribute to CC strategy development, project proposals and provide input on needs and gaps
  • Manage and implement delegated portfolio of CC (ICLA) projects (activities, budget and project documentation) as delegated from PM in line with proposals, strategies and donor requirements, and ensure high technical quality
  • Provide regular progress reports to PM (AM and CCS if no PM)
  • Ensure that projects target beneficiaries most in need of protection, explore and asses new and better ways to assist
  • Promote and share ideas for improvement and necessary changes in the activities
  • Ensure capacity building of project staff and transfer key skills
  • Liaise and collaborate with relevant local authorities and other key stakeholders
  • Promote the rights of IDPs/returnees in line with the advocacy strategy
  • Provide technical legal analysis and advisories to the program staff
  • Assist in monitoring, evaluating and suggest changes and improvements in program and materials based on observations and discussions with the ICLA staff and the Program Manager.
  • Regular monitoring and tracking to be ensure the project implementation meets the program and donor requirements.
  • Develop steps and procedures in the implementation of the ICLA project in accordance with agreements with donors
  • Support program staff to develop regular plans and monitor the implementation of the plans taking corrective measures was necessary.
  • Assist in ensuring optimal use of financial resources and good budget management
  • Ensure project activity progresses and financial expenditure reports produced at regular intervals and timelines.
  • Networking with other local and international key actors in Faryab province, represent NRC/ICLA Maimana in networks in consultations with Programme Manager.
  • Communicate, exchange information and co-operate with relevant external actors.
  • Participate and assist the Programme Manager and area manager in relevant meetings with the UN, humanitarian agencies and Governmental authorities in province level.
  • Any other reasonable task as instructed by immediate superior.

Qualifications

  • Holding valid university degree in law or sharia faculty/Legal knowledge and background.
  • At least 3 years work experience as a humanitarian worker in Legal section with any NGOs.
  • Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities.
  • English knowledge and skill.
  • Work experience in relevant area. Preferable experience of working in field of law with clients (e.g. courts, attorney or legal aid agencies);
