PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT

To build high-performing teams that are able to acquire skills for improved productivity, achieve greater results, and increase effective communication. 

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES

  1. Conduct a thorough and comprehensive analysis of the results for the 2017 Global Staff Survey (GSS).
  2. Based on the results of the 2017 GSS, assess and identify the strengths that our current team has and areas where further growth is necessary.  
  3. Customize a workshop or team-building training experience that will empower our 33 staff members and improve teamwork within the different areas.
  4. Provide continuous coaching and feedback, playing a key role to assist participants in developing skills for workplace success.

 DELIVERABLES

  1. Phase 1: (Home Based)

    1. Based on the consultant’s analysis of the 2017 GSS results, the consultant must conduct an initial survey via online to all staff members in order to further elaborate on the current work environment.
    2. Conduct one on one interviews via Skype with the focal points of each area to determine the strengths, weaknesses and concerns that are present.

  2. Phase 2: (Three days based in Tegucigalpa)

    1. Based on the analysis of Phase 1, create and implement a two day interactive workshop tailored for UNICEF´s international and multicultural background, which will enhance empowerment, communication and teamwork.
    2. Hold individual coaching sessions aimed to reflect on performance and develop skills to overcome obstacles and maximize results.
    3. Provide tools and techniques that the staff can use to understand how, through their individual efforts, they are able to work synergistically as a team.

  3. Phase 3: (Home Based)

    1. Submit a final report that summarizes the entire process and findings as well as provides strategies for monitoring progress and ensuring that the staff continue to implement the skills acquired.

 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES

  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience, with a focus on facilitating meetings or workshops for other international, regional or bilateral development organizations;
  •  Expertise in designing and implementing a wide range of interactive methods to strengthen teams and improve communication and effectiveness in the workplace;
  • Cultural sensitivity and experience moderating meetings of culturally diverse and international groups;
  • Master’s degree or equivalent in Social Sciences, Development, Communications, and/or relevant field required;
  • Fluency in Spanish.

EVALUATION CRITERIA

  • Education (level and relevance): 10%
  • Relevant Work Experience (duration and quality): 20%

    • Please indicate previous clients, type of training conducted and competencies targeted
  • Proposed Methodology and Approach: 40% (Proposed work plan and approach of implementation of the tasks as per the ToR)

    • Please send a methodology and approach for each individual phase
  • Financial proposal: 30%

    • Financial Proposal for Phase 1
    • Financial Proposal for Phase 2 (Must include consultant fees and travel expenses)
    • Financial Proposal for Phase 3

PAYMENT SCHEDULE

Payment will be made once the final report has been submitted and approved by UNICEF Honduras
