The People and Change Group (PCG) based in UNOPS Headquarters in Copenhagen supports UNOPS to empower people, drive organisational excellence and manage change across the organisation in order to help the organisation deliver its strategic intent.

We work in a dynamic team-based approach and drive to get things done.  We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and innovative Management Analyst to join the Change Management team and contribute to our work.  This is an opportunity to shape UNOPS approach to change management, working in a global role.

Under the guidance of the work stream lead, the Analyst will contribute to the implementation of the corporate change management agenda.  The role supports the team to focus on the people side of change – including changes to business processes, systems and technology, job roles and organization structures.  The ideal candidate will have an innovative approach as well as an international outlook and excellent communication skills. 

Functional Responsibilities

The key responsibilities include:

  • Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis to support the design, development and roll out of UNOPS change management, operational excellence and organisation design initiatives.
  • Analyse documentation on organizational structures and operating models for units within the headquarters and the field offices that are delivering support and core functions to the UNOPS global portfolio of projects.
  • Perform analyses of business cases and liaise with internal PCG teams and units within UNOPS for gathering of input and expertise from subject matter experts.
  • Undertake project support office activities including coordination of inputs, reporting, planning, monitoring and knowledge management.
  • Support the planning and delivery of internal workshops and trainings related to change projects.
  • Provide communication support for change management/organisation design initiatives including designing communication strategies, stakeholder engagement plans, drafting internal communication content, and liaising with communication/graphics teams on implementation.
  • Undertake a variety of research and make technical contributions to components of projects.
  • Develop and maintain constructive relationships with supporting functions across the organisation, contributing for the improvement of customer relationship management.

Education/Experience/Language requirements

Education:

An advanced degree in Human Resources, Economics, Finance, Marketing, Management, Public Administration, Business Administration, Social Sciences, Political Science, International Relations, Engineering, Information and Communication Technology or other related field.

A combination of Bachelor’s degree with an additional 2 years of relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of the education requirements outlined above.

Professional Change Management certification (i.e. APMG or similar) is an asset. Experience:

A minimum of 2 years relevant experience in change management, business transformation, HR management, strategy development, organisation development or process excellence.

Experience in the following is considered an asset:

  • Knowledge of change management principles and methodologies
  • Management of the roll out of global HR, change management or process excellence projects
  • Development and execution of communication and stakeholder engagement strategies

Proficiency with Microsoft Applications including Excel and PowerPoint, including the ability to present data in a clear and meaningful way is an asset.

Previous experience working in a global or international organisation is an asset.
Language:

  • Fluency in English is required
  • Fluency in another UNOPS official language (French and / or Spanish) is a distinct asset

Contract type, level and duration

Contract type: International Individual Contract Agreement (ICA)
Contract level: IICA-1
Contract duration: 1 year, renewable upon satisfactory performance and available budget.
