UNRWA is a United Nations agency established by the General Assembly in 1949 and is mandated to provide assistance and protection to a population of some 5 million registered Palestine refugees. تعتبر الأونروا أحد وكالات الأمم المتحدة و التي أسستمن قبل الجمعية العامة عام 1949، ومكلفة بتوفير المساعدة والحماية للفلسطينيين والذي يقارب عددهم 5 مليون نسمة. وتتمثل مهمتها في مساعدة اللاجئين الفلسطينيين في الأردن ولبنان والجمهورية العربية السورية والضفة الغربية وقطاع غزة لتحقيق كامل إمكاناتهم في مجال التنمية البشرية، ريثما يتم التوصل إلى حل عادل لمحنتهم. تشمل خدمات الأونروا التعليم والرعاية الصحية والإغاثة والخدمات الاجتماعية و البنية التحتية وتحسين المخيمات والتمويل الصغير والمساعدات الطارئة. يتم تمويل الأونروا بشكل شبه كامل من خلال التبرعات الطوعية. ترغب الوكالة في• توظيف:

The Cardiologist is responsible to the Field Disease Control Officer and through him to the Deputy Chief Health Programme (D/CFHP) and provides technical guidance to all medical officers on the prevention and control of cardiovascular diseases.

In accordance with Agency policy and procedures, the incumbent:

(A)  Undertakes regular visits to UNRWA health centers according to a rotating schedule in order to examine, treat and follow up on patients referred to him/her by medical officers;

(B)  Maintains records of all patients with cardiovascular diseases at each health center and provides statistical data and relevant information on such patients to the Field Office;

(C) Plans and directs the in-service training of medical officers on the prevention and control of cardiovascular diseases;

(D) Maintains an effective system of referral to, and feed-back from, contracted and government hospitals treating refugee patients;

(E)  Follows up to ensure that equipment and supplies are maintained and techniques are performed in accordance with standard Agency procedures;

الحد الادنى منالمؤهلات المطلوبة Minimum Qualification

A university degree from an accredited educational institution in medicine including an internship of at least twelve-months duration;

شهادة جامعية من مؤسسة تعليمية معتمدة في الطب البشري اضافة الى تدريب لمدة لا تقل عن اثني عشر شهرا.

Advanced degree (Master) from an accredited educational institution in cardiology or internal medicine specialty;

شهادة ماجستير من مؤسسة تعليمية معتمدة في أمراض القلب أوتخصص في الطب الباطني .

A valid license to practice medicine as internist or cardiologist in Syrian Arab Republic.

ترخيص مزاولة مهنة لممارسة الطب كطبيب داخلي أو طبيب قلب في الجمهورية العربية السورية.

Education

A minimum of six years' experience in the management of cardiovascular diseases after obtaining the degree in this discipline.

مالا يقل عن ست سنوات خبرة في إدارة أمراض القلب والأوعية الدموية بعد الحصول على شهادة في هذا الانضباط.

Excellent command of spoken and written English and Arabic.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

•         The incumbent is required to travel frequently in the field and area of operations;

•         Possession of a valid driving license in the country of duty station.

Conditions of Service

The limited duration contract is for 6 months, extendable subject to availability of funds, satisfactory performance of the incumbent and the continuing need for the post. Monthly salary at the full Band of the post is as per UNRWA Limited Duration Contract salary scale. Other benefits include compulsory medical insurance, 30 days of annual leave pre-rated to the duration of the contract where less than one year, and family allowance (if applicable).
