We are looking for experienced Finance and Administration Asssistant is responsible for preparing financial statements, maintaining cash Book and maintaining accounts payable.

The assistance can consist of relief and other humanitarian aid, rehabilitation and support to returning home, and the promotion of durable solutions. 
 
 
About the job 
 
Finance and Administration Assistant is responsible for preparing financial statements, maintaining cash Book and maintaining accounts payable. 
 
 
 
Duties and Responsibilities 
 
• To verify that any purchase is covered by the appropriate authorization and signed by authorized team member & to Fill in the cash book on a daily bases. 
• To assist Senior Admin and Finance Officer in the closure of accounts at the end of month 
• Provide technical support for field staff and administration staff. 
• Assist with preparation of the budget. 
• Implement financial policies and procedures. 
• Establish and maintain cash book and reconcile the general ledger. 
• Monitor cash transfers and payments to volunteers. 
• Ensure transactions are properly recorded and entered into the computerized accounting system. 
• Help logistics in preparing monthly asset list. 
• Maintain the financial files and records. 
• Prepare monthly cash requests and prepare weekly cash reports. 
• Maintain the contract follow up on a monthly basis, and make sure all contracts are renewed, closed, or paid on time. 
• To act as cashier for payments to be processed and carry out all cash distribution to the beneficiaries for the coordination office in Amman. 
• Cash Book registry update on a daily basis, and cash count on a weekly basis with the NFAC and on a monthly basis with the Project manager.  
• Sending the monthly financial documents and arrange vouchers including supporting documents for main office in Amman. 
• Scanning the financial documents and the supporting documents on a monthly basis and sending them to Amman office. 
 
About you 
 
To be successful in this role you must have:  
 
Required qualifications/experience: 
 
• Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance or other related field. 
• 1 to 2 years of experience in the financial management positions. 
• INGOs experience. 
• Arabic (Expert) 
• English (Good) 
• Microsoft office (especially excel)

We offer 
DRC will offer the successful applicant a six months contract including three months’ probation period, renewable dependent on both funding and performance. You must be available to start work on November 2017 and be willing and able to work in Ma’an -Jordan.
 
Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment for Nationals. This position will be placed at Grade C.
