We are looking for a highly qualified candidate to provide to provide support for all the livelihoods projects.

Who are we? 

Danish refugee council has been operating in the Middle East and North Africa for over a decade, running a combination of livelihood, protection, advocacy and relief projects. DRC has six project offices throughout Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Tunisia/Libya, Turkey, and both a country and regional office in Jordan. 
DRC Lebanon has been assisting the Syrian displaced, fleeing Syria into northern Lebanon, since May 2011. This assistance has come through the provision of food and non-food items, various outreach activities (registration, follow-up and awareness sessions) rehabilitation of collective shelters and the implementation of quick impact projects.

About the job 

The Volunteer will be especially tasked with outreach, apprenticeships follow up, and daily administrative tasks.

 

Duties and Responsibilities 

• Answer phone calls, offer general information on the livelihood center and its services and respond to inquiries, directing jobseekers and employers to the livelihood center staff for specific matters/queries. 
• Assist the livelihoods team to register jobseekers for employement using appropriate forms or the computer data base to record individuals profiles, occupational codes and client group categories. 
• Provide information to jobseekers for employment using appropriate forms or the computer data base to record individual profiles, occupational codes nd client group categories. 
• Assist with data collection on the local labor market and enter information on the database. 
• Travel with other livelihoods staff to support programming in Mount Lebanon as needed. 
• Any other relevant task.

Moreover we also expect the following: 

Required qualifications 
• Bachelor Degree or Vocational Degree 
• Computer literate with excellent experience in excel 
• Knowledge of Mount Lebanon area 
• Flexibility and team work skills

 

Desirable qualifications

Ideally, you will also have: 

• Previous INGO experience and practical experience in nimplementation of skills development trainings are a plus.

 

We offer 

DRC will offer the successful applicant a contract until the end of November 2017, renewable on both funds and performance. You must be available to start work from October 2017 and be willing and able to work in Tripoli. 
This position will be placed at level V with a compensation of maximum 450 USD per month.
