We are a newly formed team, bringing together experienced professionals with strategic HR management, organisational design, change management expertise – all of us having a passion for achieving results and building innovation into our way of doing business. To get the job done, we structured our deliverables into six core work streams: Change management, Organisational excellence, Innovation, Talent management, Business partnering and Learning.

The People and Change Group (PCG) helps UNOPS empowering people, developing talent, driving organisational excellence and managing change across the organisation in order to help the organisation deliver on its strategic intent.
We are currently looking for an Intern to join our dynamic and diverse team. The Intern will contribute to the work of PCG in the area of HR services, which is a fast growing business line providing human resource management and operational support services to a range of partners within and beyond the UN system. The role will provide support with coordination, communication and reporting tasks related to the administration of a worldwide portfolio of clients.
The internship will offer insight into working in a United Nations organization and experience in a dynamic, international environment.
Liaising with clients in a highly professional manner and coordinating various client requests by acting as first point of contact, reaching out to relevant stakeholders internally and externally
Fulfilling reporting needs of clients by providing consistently high quality information, ensuring a smooth customer experience and high customer satisfaction
Assisting in developing and maintaining communication materials and platforms supporting the HR services business line and its clients
Supporting the preparation of analysis and continuous development of internal reporting mechanisms related to HR services
Supporting other PCG projects as required.

Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s degree or be pursuing an advanced university degree, such as a Masters or a PhD, or be a recent graduate from such studies (within the last 3 years);
Preferred area of study is one of the following: Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, Social Sciences, Political Sciences, International Relations or other related fields
While no professional experience is required for an internship, experience in the field of Administration, Communications, Human Resources, Finance, Marketing, International Affairs, Operational or Strategic Management, Business Process Management or similar fields is considered an asset;
Strong computer literacy: MS Office standard programs essential, in particular with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint is required. Experience working with MS SharePoint is an asset.
Fluency in both written and oral English is required;
Knowledge of a second UN language (in particular French and/or Spanish) is a distinct asset.
Contract type, level and duration
Contract level: intern
Contract duration: 6 months
This internship is not designed to lead to a staff position with UNOPS. Therefore, there should be no expectation of employment at the end of the internship.
Interns may be eligible for a monthly stipend from UNOPS provided that they do not receive funds from other institutions. Further, UNOPS may provide a one time travel lumpsum of 500 USD. However, they must make their own arrangements for accommodation, travel, insurance coverage and any necessary visas.
