Position Summary:

The HR Analyst ensures effective delivery of HR service. He/she interprets and applies HR policies, rules and regulations, implements internal procedures and provides solutions to a wide spectrum of complex HR issues. The HR Analyst promotes a collaborative, client-oriented approach and contributes to the maintenance of high staff morale.

The HR Analyst works in close collaboration with the Programme, Operations and Project Teams in the CO, RO and UNFPA HQ staff ensuring successful CO performance in HR management.

Job Purpose:

The key results of this post have an impact on the overall CO efficiency in human resources management and success in introduction and implementation of innovative and strategic HR strategies and policies.  Accurate analysis, reporting, proposals on systems enhancement strengthen UNFPA credibility as an effective and efficient organization in the HR sector.

Requirements:

Education: 

 Advanced University degree in Social Sciences or other relevant disciplines (Human Resources, Business/Administration, International Relations, Psychology, etc.). Additional professional training an advantage. A first level University degree with minimum 2 years of relevant working experience may be exceptionally accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree. 

Knowledge and Experience:

 Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in providing:

HR advisory services and/or managing staff and operational systems

Learning and/or Human Resource Management activities, research, administration, recruitment and sourcing.

 Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc) and experience in handling of web based management systems.

Languages:

 Fluency in English is required. Depending on the duty station, a working knowledge of the national language may be required.
