The Norwegian Refugee Council has approximately 5000 committed and competent employees involved in projects across four continents. In addition, NRC runs one of the world’s largest standby rosters -NORCAP, with 650 professionals, ready to be deployed on 72 hours notice when a crisis occurs
Job description
- Compliance and adherence to NRC policies, tools, handbooks and guidelines
- Overall coordination between all parties to the consortium
- Assist Consortium Manager in the coordination of implementation of the consortium work plan (activities, budget and project documentation) in line with proposals, strategies and donor requirements
- Assist with the administrative aspects of the project
- Gather internal information from field offices and NRC departments to ensure that all NRC activities are correctly recorded and reported
- Deputies for the Consortium Manager in her absence
- Provide background, deeper and nuanced information to the Consortium Manager relating to the locations where activities will take place
- Assist the Consortium Manager in coordination and operational issues amongst the four consortium partners.
- Promote holistic ‘early recovery’ solutions and strategies, within NRC, ERC and the wider humanitarian community
Qualifications
- Bachelor in relevant fields (Project Management)
- Minimum 5 years of experience of programmatic implementation in a humanitarian/recovery context
- Experience from working in complex and volatile contexts
- Experience from working with refugees, IDPs or returnees
- Experience related to at least one of the consortium activities: ICLA, Shelter, WASH, Livelihoods, previous interaction with Community Development Councils
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal
