The Pharmaceuticals & Healthcare Programme is a global initiative hosted by the Transparency International UK chapter. About the role

As Senior Project Manager (OC4H) you will be responsible for the strategic management and leadership of the Open Contracting for the Health Sector Initiative (OC4H) and the supervision of three London-based team members and up to five in partner countries. This project is part of a DfID accountable grant and will be implemented in up to five partner countries.

In addition you will:

·    OC4H team management – ensure all outputs are in line with the agreed logical framework, of the highest quality, timely and within budget, and that the OC4H team functions effectively and efficiently.

 

·    OC4H budget management – ensure that OC4H resources are invested in a way that maximises value for money, and spend is in accordance with agreed outputs/outcomes.

·       Ensure that the OC4H project delivers against donor reporting requirements, including overseeing a robust MEL approach that provides evidence for performance.

·    Assist with the development and implementation of a global advocacy strategy to support the OC4H project.

·    Provide strategic leadership for the OC4H project and facilitate joined up approach/work across the OC4H team, OC4H subgrantees, and between other DfID accountable grants entrusted to TI-UK.

 

·    Deputise for the Director – as tasked and as needed, as per the Director’s instructions.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Education to a Masters-level or equivalent experience; preferably in public health, international relations/international development/political science or anti-corruption.
  • Proven relevant experience, with an in-depth knowledge of project and human resource management in particular
  • Sound knowledge and experience of the complete project cycle
  • Proven track record of managing DfID or other international development accountable grants (highly desirable)
  • Experience and knowledge in one or more of the following: global public health (ideally health supply chain/procurement), ethics, compliance, and corruption and its impacts
  • Experience within and understanding of stakeholders in the pharmaceutical and/or healthcare sectors
  • Well organised, numerate, excellent communication skills and culturally knowledgeable
