Job description

  • Responsible for shelter assessment, implementation and monitoring
  • Participate in field missions.
  • Participate in shelter beneficiary selection process.
  • Provision of shelter technical advisory to shelter beneficiaries.
  • Conduct construction, DRR and environmental training to targeted beneficiaries.
  • Conducting KAP1, KAP2 survey and hygiene promotion analysis as per prepared plan.
  • Conduct hygiene training to targeted beneficiaries.
  • Distribute shelter toolkits and hygiene kits to targeted beneficiaries.
  • Distribution of cash for shelter to the targeted beneficiaries
  • Participate in NRC staff seminars and training, when scheduled.
  • Produce shelter and hygiene reports on daily base as well as on required base.
  • Identify vulnerable families according to established selection criteria
  • Work closely with all community stakeholders ensuring trust and confidence with
  • Beneficiaries Facilitate community committee activities
  • Liaise and work closely with governmental and non-governmental organizations to create and maintain a network of organizations to which IDPs can be referred;
  • Refer to relevant NGOs and government departments in response to the range of needs identified;
  • Any other tasks as assigned by the immediate superior.

Qualifications

  • University degree (Civil Engineering) is preferable or at least candidate has to be graduated from 12 grade
  • Experience from working as an Assistant in a humanitarian/recovery context
  • Knowledge and experience within a relevant administration, craft or technical field and ideally a relevant vocational qualification
  • Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts
  • Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities
  • Some knowledge of English
