SOS Children’s Villages International is the umbrella organisation for the global federation of SOS Children’s Villages. As a non-governmental social development organisation we help children without parental care and families in difficult living conditions through services in care, education, health and emergency relief, and we advocate for children’s rights. We work in 135 countries and territories, reaching over one million children, young people, families and caregivers each year.

Mission

In the Monitoring and Evaluation Team, we support the documentation of programme services and results in the development of individual children and families in our family strengthening and family-based childcare programmes as well as learning from these results through leading the programme database and the development and implementation of Results-Based Management.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Support development, implementation and user support of Programme Database (PDB, central system used by approx. 80 countries worldwide) and reports

  • Support effective user support (training, helpdesk)

  • Contribute to development of new database and data analysis tools

  • Programme data analysis and illustration for Monitoring and Evaluation purposes

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Information Technology, Management, or other relevant subject area

  • Interest in and affinity to technical systems combined with some practical professional experience working with IT Systems

  • Very good analytical and MS Excel skills and its application in a professional working context

  • Ability to work independently on defined areas

  • Experience in agile project management advantageous

  • Business analysis knowledge in defining software requirements and testing

  • Experience with SQL would be advantageous as well as understanding of financial systems and general management

  • Excellent command of English

  • Applicants must hold a valid Austrian working permit or be eligible to work within the EU
