Danish Refugee Council, one of the world’s leading humanitarian NGOs, is currently looking for a highly qualified candidate that has the skills to join DRC as Programme Development and Grants Coordinator

About the job 

DRC is looking for a highly qualified professional with strong experience in programme development, grant management and donor liaison for the position of Programme Development and Grants Coordinator (PDGC) in DRC Lebanon. Applicants can be a national of Lebanon or elsewhere. The successful candidate will have a track record of providing high quality engagement with donors, with experience in writing and coordinating successful proposals to secure funding. Highly organised and able to manage competing priorities, the successful candidate will have experience in managing a diverse grant portfolio, with a strong donor compliance background.

 

Under supervision of the Head of Programmes, the PDGC is responsible for the entire grant management cycle and for all proposal development processes in DRC Lebanon. The PDGC will ensure timely and quality proposals and reports are submitted, and grants management databases and tools are kept updated. She/he will ensure compliance with and provide guidance on DRC’s and donor’s rules, regulations, and guidelines.

• Support fundraising efforts in coordination with the country director and HoP, including undertaking donor mapping and providing briefings to in-country donor representatives; 

• Liaise with donor representatives and coordinate donor visits to programme sites. 
• Draft, coordinate, edit, and support quality assurance of concept notes and proposals in line with identified needs and funding opportunities, in coordination with field programme staff, finance staff, and the HoP. 
• Provide guidance on and ensure compliance with donor and DRC rules, regulations and guidelines and raise issues affecting external/ internal compliance; 
• Organize, facilitate, and follow-up of grants opening, review, and closing meetings; 
• Review BFUs, consolidated spending, implementation, procurement and staffing plans for each projects and flag up discrepancies to the teams and HoP; 
• Provide technical guidance and deliver trainings on DRC and donor guidelines and proposal development and reporting to field offices 
• Support communication’s activities of DRC Lebanon to external stakeholders in coordination with the Regional Communications and Advocacy Advisor and Communication’s Assistant

 

About you 

To be successful in this role we expect you to At least 5years of grants’ management experience with an international NGO. Moreover, we also expect the following:

 

Required  

• Proven experience in successfully applying for institutional donor funding.  
• Knowledge of donor rules, regulations, and procedures of donors including US and European donors, EU funding mechanisms, and UN agencies.  
• Proven experience in capacity building and training of staff and partners. 
• Willingness to travel to DRC areas of operation across Lebanon.  
• Undergraduate degree in international relations, project management, business administration, or studies relevant to the post. A master’s degree is favourable. 
• Excellent computer skills 
• Fluency in English is essential, Arabic is an advantage

We offer 

Contract length: 12 months 
Level:  E+ for Nationals, Monthly Basic Salary: 3502 USD and A15 for Internationals 
Duty Station: Beirut 
Start date: January 2018
