About the job
Reporting to Cox’s Bazaar Logistics Manager, the Procurement Assistant will provide comprehensive support to Logistics Manager in rapidly procuring program supplies, services and equipment, whilst ensuring best practices and maintaining audit-compliant records.
  • Assist in procurement to be carried out in accordance to DRC and donor-specific polices.
  • Maintain Supplier Information Filing system
  • As instructed by Logistics Manager, assist in identifying vendors for new types of goods and services.
  • Routinely update of Logistics Manager regarding the order and delivery of supplies.
  • Verify that all supplies, services and equipment ordered are delivered in quality and quantities requested and in time.
  • Primary responsible for Procurement Tracking Tool; its input, good quality of information, its maintenance and its weekly distribution.

 

About you

To be successful in this role we expect you to be motivated, disciplined and team-oriented and have over a year working office experience be fluent in written and spoken English. Moreover, we also expect the following:

Required

  • 1 year experience in office employment
  • Good mathematical skills
  • Computer skills in MS Word & Excel.

Desirable

  • Knowledge & experience of dealing with service providers and contractors’ management.
  • Knowledge of generic procurement procedures and practices or any direct logistics experience.
  • Experience from working in an (I)NGO

We offer
Contract length: 3 months with possibility of extension dependent upon funding
