We are looking to recruit a Treasury Accountant who will ensure the maximum beneficial impact of funds by minimising the exposure of foreign currency, assist and support the Treasury Manager with all aspects of Treasury reporting, banking and financial service provider relationships and administration.

Furthermore the role will support the organisational risk management process. The post holder is responsible for supporting the organisational risk management process by supervising and advising the Treasury officer on various aspects of screening and due diligence such as third party partnerships, banks and cash beneficiaries. Related to this is the ability to support the department and its wider stakeholders by proactively supporting and coaching colleagues to be sensitive to relevant Islamic values and principles in the delivery of Organisational Objectives. The Treasury Accountant will also be engaged in maintaining a trace on all foreign currency trades until settlement, and resolving any compliance or routing matters.

It is essential that the candidate has a degree in Accountancy/Finance with evidence of continuing professional development and successful application of best practice in accounting and finance. Coupled with experience of Treasury reporting cash flows; management accounts, budgets and, the successful candidate must have the ability to exercise judgment and take decisions on unexpected problems. To consolidate and compliment the aforementioned, s/he must have a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail with a commitment to the production of work of a consistently high standard, and be able to organise and prioritise work of direct reports; be self-motivated and able to work on own initiative.
