ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Deputy Director of Global Issues you will lead Amnesty International's research and advocacy on a range of thematic priorities including arms control and the death penalty. In your capacity leader of the Special Projects unit you will have the opportunity to lead some of the organizations most cutting edge work on human rights, including our multi-country project on the rights of migrants working on the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

ABOUT YOU

With established leadership in the global human rights movement and demonstrable expertise in the field of human rights law and policy, you will have a deep and practical knowledge of law relating to transnational human rights issues and experience working in at least one of the following regions: MENA, South Asia, Sub-Saharan Africa.

Your portfolio will fluctuate and you will thrive on the flexibility and opportunities inherent in this role.

A highly advanced communicator with excellent written skills in English (with an additional language as a plus) you will have significant experience of designing and implementing a research based approach to international human rights issues.
