About VSO

VSO is the world's leading development organisation that works through volunteers to fight poverty. We are unique in the way we bring people together to share their skills and experience, generate insights and ideas and, most of all, take action against poverty and exclusion. It's a highly effective approach that works, and today is helping millions of people in some of the world's poorest communities lift themselves out of poverty.

Role overview

At the heart of this role is ensuring VSO is an organisation our supporters can trust whilst creating engaging propositions to ignite supporters' passion to continue supporting VSO.

We're looking for someone with a passion for engaging supporters, and with the ability to manage a complex project across multiple teams. You should be a self-organiser. You will be at heart of shaping VSO's future.

You will be responsible for ensuring that VSO stays within the relevant regulations, whilst bringing those who choose to join us closer to our work.

You will be leading a multi-channel marketing campaign to gain consent from volunteers and supporters and also a complete data audit. In addition, you will be project managing key changes in line with VSO's position. You will need to effectively guide stakeholders across the organisation, and facilitate meetings.

Skills, qualifications and experience

Specifically you should have experience of project management - and you should have the ability to adapt your style to different people's approaches, and drive a project forward.

You should also have the proven ability to manage marketing campaigns.

You should have a good understanding of the codes of fundraising practice, GDPR and other regulations - but we don't expect you to be an expert straight away!

Think you've got the skills and the passion? Get in touch; we'd love to hear from you.
