Join a new generation of leadership

Do you have the experience and passion to lead a dynamic, international, rights-based organisation?

Can you advocate for the rights of young people and women to make informed decisions about their sexual reproductive health?

Are you a catalyst for change, action and innovation?

If the answer is yes, UNFPA invites you to apply to our innovative Leadership Pool, with successful candidates being offered the opportunity to join our global leadership team.

Our new Strategic Plan focuses on delivering three transformative goals: to end preventable maternal deaths; end unmet need for family planning and end gender-based violence and harmful practices. We are seeking leaders who can make a difference in the lives of billions of people through programmatic partnerships with governments, other UN and bilateral agencies, civil society and the private sector.

Candidates are competing to join our prestigious Leadership Pool, the next generation of UNFPA leaders and our pipeline for key international rotational posts: Country Representatives, Deputy Country Representatives and International Operations Managers.

Selected candidates will undergo a comprehensive assessment process. After being found ready for one or more Leadership Pool job types, Pool members will benefit from individualized career advice and tailored development opportunities to enhance their readiness to assume leadership posts. When vacancies arise, Pool members successfully assessed for that vacancy type will be invited to express interest in selection for the post. International rotational staff are expected to serve in a variety of functions and locations including hardship and non-family duty stations.

Note: Candidates should apply for all job types for which they are interested in being assessed. You may access the vacancies using the links provided below. Deadline for applications: 8 December 2017
