SOS Children’s Villages International is the umbrella organisation for the global federation of SOS Children’s Villages. As a non-governmental social development organisation we help children without parental care and families in difficult living conditions through services in care, education, health and emergency relief, and we advocate for children’s rights. We work in 135 countries and territories, reaching over one million children, young people, families and caregivers each year.

Location: International Office Innsbruck, Austria

Main Responsibilities

  • First and second level support (50% of total working hours)
  • Liaise with vendors and internal IT staff for problem resolution
  • Create and maintain support- and technical documentation
  • Cooperate with our system engineers in operating the IT infrastructure
  • Collaborate with our system engineers in the area of centrally managed software distribution
  • Administration of Windows Server based systems on-premise as well as Azure Cloud

 

The Profile

  • Appropriate IT education in computer science, engineering or a related subject
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience with customer support and IT system administration
  • Strong coordination, organization, teaming and communication abilities
  • Service minded thinking and actions
  • Solid networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP)
  • Proven working experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting MS Windows based environments
  • Solid knowledge in the area of Windows 7/10 and MS Office 2016
  • Experience with centrally managed software distribution, virtualization (Hyper-V) and network monitoring systems would be advantageous
  • Ability to work under pressure and time constraints
  • Willingness to extra work also outside regular working hours and standby
  • Good written and spoken English and German
  • Applicants must hold a valid Austrian working permit or be eligible to work within the EU
