UNICEF is seeking an intern to support the Human Resources team in the Global Shared Services Centre in Budapest, Hungary. The intern will gain Human Resources exposure in a centre of excellence. This role will offer the opportunity to support recruitment and training campaigns, develop HR related reports, support knowledge sharing and talent mapping initiatives, and contribute updates to the HR website for centre staff. The internship will also provide exposure within an international environment to learn about UNICEF’s mission, its various programs and how it operates globally.

UNICEF's Global Shared Services Centre (GSSC) in Budapest, Hungary supports UNICEF operations globally in the areas of Finance, Human Resources, Payroll and Information Technology.
 
How can you make a difference?

UNICEF is seeking an intern to support the Human Resources team in the Global Shared Services Centre in Budapest, Hungary. The intern will gain Human Resources exposure in a centre of excellence.  This role will offer the opportunity to support recruitment and training campaigns, develop HR related reports, support knowledge sharing and talent mapping initiatives, and contribute updates to the HR website for centre staff. 

The internship will also provide exposure within an international environment to learn about UNICEF’s mission, its various programs and how it operates globally.

This will involve:

• Provide support and coordination to recruitment campaigns
• Coordinate with staff members on training and learning opportunities
• Develop HR related reports, including support to Chief Human Resources in developing annual report content
• Conduct research on HR related practices, trends and market standards
• Contribute to content and updates on staff website, induction guide and welcome handbook
• Conduct talent mapping exercise of current staff members to contribute to recruitment and training strategies
• Provide overall support to Human Resources team
• Additional Human Resources projects may be assigned based on intern’s areas of interest and expertise

As an advocate for every child, you will have…

• Current enrollment in a programme at the Master’s level or recent graduate, preferably in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communication or other related area.
• Fluency in English is required.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to organize and manage information to achieve defined goals and optimum results.
• Demonstrates strong commitment and drive for results.
• Eligible applicants must be nationals of EU countries or be eligible to work in Hungary.

Contract Duration and Terms

This contract is for a 4 month duration.  The anticipated start date of this internship is January 2018.  This internship is unpaid.
