We are looking for a highly qualified 2 Receptionists one for Irbid and one for Mafraq, Receptionist will be responsible for beneficiaries and visitor’s registration, welcoming people to the community center, checking to make sure all arrivals have an appointment time, answering the community center phone line and directing families within the center.

DRC is an international non-governmental organization, which promotes and supports durable solutions to the problems faced by refugees and internally displaced people all over the world. With the vision that no displaced person must be in want of help to find protection and durable solutions, DRC provides assistance and protection to conflict-affected in many of the major conflicts in Asia, Africa and Middle East. The assistance can consist of relief and other humanitarian aid, rehabilitation and support to returning home, and the promotion of durable solutions. 
 
About the Job
 
In Irbid and Mafraq governorates, DRC is implementing a project funded by GIZ to support its activities under the Waste to Positive Energy Program. This will include CfW protection monitoring as well as employability trainings and job referral services through DRC’s community centers in Irbid and Mafraq. 
 
 
 
Duties and Responsibilities 
 
• Reception of visitors to the office in liaison with other program team.  
• Inform center staff of the arrival of families or individuals and coordinate the meeting room arrangements; 
• Ensure children and/or youth who accompany their parents are either in the meeting room, or in the Child Friendly Space (CFS); 
• Responsible for beneficiaries and visitor’s registration on GAMMA database, in coordination with the database assistant and center staff.  
• Responsible for operating community center phone line by receiving, giving and dispatching center telephone communication to the relevant recipients, or answering basic questions as necessary; 
• Maintaining an updated address and phone list of all main-office and community center staff;  
• Confirming appointments of the center beneficiaries and visitors in line with the center team and Information Officer’s requests and/or other personnel if required;  
• Ensure the application of DRC Code of Conduct and DRC Policies and Procedures. 
 
 
 
About you 
 
To be successful in this role you must have:  
 
Qualifications/ experience:  
• Bachelor degree in relevant area (e.g. economics, development studies, Business, IT,) 
• Ability to work effectively as an integral part of multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural team and to work with a wide range of government and community counterparts, and other actors; 
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to foster communication and negotiation among local stakeholders; 
• Genuine care and respect for needs of others, particularly vulnerable populations; 
• 1 year relevant work experience with similar functions, including basic work with children and/or youth; 
• Strong people skills, particularly verbal and written communication;  
• Basic ability to work with computer and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.) 
• Shows persistence when faced with difficult problems or challenges; 
• Familiarity with DRC program and operational procedures a plus. 
• Arabic (fluent) with excellent verbal communication skills.  
• English (good) in written and spoken

We offer 
 
DRC will offer the successful applicant a Six months including three month as probation period, renewable dependent on both funding and performance. You must be available to start work As Soon As Possible and be willing and able to work in North one for Mafraq and one for Irbid -Jordan.
