We are looking for a highly qualified a candidates to fill the position of livelihood officer will provide in field support to the implementation of all livelihood activities in Azraq camp including technical and life skills training, productive activities, cash for work, and business grants.

DRC is an international non-governmental organization, which promotes and supports durable solutions to the problems faced by refugees and internally displaced people all over the world. With the vision that no displaced person must be in want of help to find protection and durable solutions, DRC provides assistance and protection to conflict-affected in many of the major conflicts in Asia, Africa and Middle East. The assistance can consist of relief and other humanitarian aid, rehabilitation and support to returning home, and the promotion of durable solutions. 
 
About the job 
 
livelihood officer will provide in field support to the implementation of all livelihood activities in Azraq camp including technical and life skills training, productive activities, cash for work, and business grants.  
 
 
Duties and Responsibilities 
 
• Utilize the database of beneficiaries for all livelihood activities 
• Conduct community outreach and mobilization for participation in DRC livelihood activities inside Azraq camp 
• Plan and coordinate required volunteers for all activities of DRC in Azraq camp 
• Assist in the design and translation of informative materials as needed, including presentations, handouts, and exercises. 
• Provide regular financial literacy training to DRC livelihood beneficiaries.  
• Work with the senior livelihood officer to design new activities and conduct outreach and registration for upcoming activities. 
• Plan the procurement for livelihood activities with support from the senior livelihood officer. 
• Develop supply chains for the productive activities in the camp and with the local markets. 
 
 
About you 
 
To be successful in this role you must have:  
 
Required qualifications/experience: 
• University degree in economics, business development and planning, or other related fields. 
• 2 years of experience in working in the field, preferably in a camp context. 
• Proven ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines and work with limited supervision 
• Excellent interpersonal, networking, and communication skills. 
• Stress management 
• Results-oriented 
• Fluent in written and spoken English 
• Fluent in written and spoken Arabic

We offer 
 
DRC will offer the successful applicant a 6 month contract including three months as probation period, renewable based on both funding and performance. You must be available to start on January 2018, and be willing and able to work in Azraq Camp -Jordan.  
 
Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment for Nationals;  This position will be placed at Grade D.
