Position Remarks

This appointment is for a duration of two years, with a six-month probationary period, and is subject to the OPCW Staff Regulations and Interim Staff Rules, as applicable. The Director-General retains the discretion not to make any appointment to this vacancy, to make an appointment at a lower grade, or to make an appointment with a modified job description. Several vacancies may be filled.

 

Principal Functions

The Talent Management Section of the Human Resources Branch is responsible for finding the best talent across its 192 Member States to help the OPCW fulfill its mandate. Being part of the team will give you the opportunity to use your experience in a diverse environment, while at the same time learning and growing as an HR professional.

Under the supervision of the Talent Management Officer, and in accordance with the OPCW Core Values of Integrity, Professionalism and Respect for Diversity/Gender Equality, your work will include the following:

Administratively support the recruitment processes from beginning to end. Throughout you are the focal point for all relevant stakeholders, be it post owners, technical experts, and other colleagues you need to liaise with to ensure a smooth selection and onboarding process. Practically this includes:
· Updating and creating Job Descriptions and Vacancy Notices based upon established templates;
· Advertise vacancies on the OPCW Career portal as well as other media platforms;
· Support the initial shortlisting of candidates, the drafting of the written test, shortlisting for interview and the setup and arrangement of the interviews; 
· Act as first level contact point for candidates during the selection process and their pre-boarding process. 

In addition, the following duties will be undertaken as needed:
· Provide relevant input to the review of administrative directives and other recruitment related documentation;
· Administer the necessary parts of the Internship programme of the OPCW from establishing the needs within the organization, through advertising, matching the applicants received with the needs of the organisation, to providing ongoing administrative support and troubleshooting for issues raised during the selection phase; 
· Monitor on a daily basis the incoming mail for the recruitment inbox and as necessary answer general queries;
· Undertake the provision of HR’s response to request for country report input using standard templates and reports.

You may be requested to perform any other duties as deemed appropriate for the post.

 

Requirements

Knowledge and Skills

Essential:
High School Diploma or equivalent diploma of secondary education.

Skills and Abilities (key competencies):
Basic problem solving skills;
Flexibility and ability to work steadily with several ongoing tasks;
Very detail orientated;
Tact, accuracy and discretion;
Work independently following established rules and procedures;
Customer-service orientated;
Focus on collaborative team work within a supportive environment;
Good interpersonal skills and ability to work harmoniously in a multi-cultural environment;
Computer literacy, including good working knowledge of Windows based word-processing, spreadsheets and databases as well as a working knowledge of an ERP or related HR system.

 

Experience

Essential: At least three years of related experience, with one year in the area of human resources;
Demonstrated experience in a customer-servicing role required.
Desirable: Previous work experience within an international organisation would be an asset.

 

Languages

Fluency in English is essential and a good working knowledge of one of the other official languages (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, and Spanish) is desirable.

 

Salary Remarks

Annual Salary
Total annual salary consists of a net annual salary (net of taxes and before medical insurance and provident fund deductions.
