We work in a dynamic, team based approach, with an international team, and a drive to get things done. We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and innovative HR Analyst to join the team and contribute to our work.

This is a great opportunity to contribute to UNOPS human resources work, across a range of areas, including talent management, learning and development, and HR policy.

The successful candidate will work across many aspects of HR work, including both the coordination and implementation of strategic projects and providing hands-on advice and support. This is a global role, and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders across the organisation is essential.  To be successful, you should be equally comfortable providing advice to colleagues on HR issues, supporting PCG's role as an HR business partner.

Previous experience working in a global or international organisation would be a distinct advantage.

Functional Responsibilities

Under the guidance of the work stream lead, the Analyst will coordinate the implementation of different HR projects, such as blended learning programmes, knowledge sharing initiatives for global audiences, and other human resources initiatives.

This role will require an understanding of business needs and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders across the organization.

The analyst is expected to be familiar with HR processes to be able to contribute to the improvement and drafting and development of diverse documentation, ranging from policies and procedures to internal and online content.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Coordination and management of global HR projects, including learning and development, policy, and talent management   
  • Support the Policy work stream/function within the People & Change Group regarding the drafting and development of HR policies and procedures, as well as roll out communication and implementation.
  • Support the Policy work stream/function within the management of internal grievances (harassment, sexual harassment, discrimination, and abuse of authority).
  • Develop and administrate knowledge sharing forums.
  • Support other corporate initiatives and projects related to Human Resources Management.

Education/Experience/Language requirements

Education:

       
  • Bachelors degree in relevant discipline is required;
  • Masters degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline may substitute for some the required years of experience;

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the area of Human Resources is required
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience providing HR policy advice is required.
  • Experience supporting the management of internal grievances  such as harassment, sexual harassment, discrimination or abuse of authority claims or other types of misconduct is required;
  • Minimum 1 year of United Nations experience (experience in similar international organizations will be considered acceptable).
  • Field experience is required.
  • Knowledge of HR policies and procedures. 
  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft SharePoint is an asset   
  • Experience working in an international environment is a distinct asset.
  • Experience of drafting and contributing to HR policy is an asset.

Language requirements:

  • Fluency in English is required.
  • Knowledge of French and/or Spanish is an asset

Contract duration: 1 year, renewable subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability
