Job description

  • Research, develop and implement training modules/seminars on property law, family law and inheritance rights, including the development of impact assessment materials;
  • Assist in the delivery, coordination and management of the project, including provision of training and field activities;
  • Liaise, collaborate and consult with all project partners and beneficiaries, arrange and attend meetings and produce relevant reports/minutes;
  • Systematically collect relevant data and maintain administrative records related to the training.
  • Assist in preparation of project reports.
  • Any other reasonable tasks as instructed by immediate superior.

Qualifications

  • University degree in Law or other relevant fields related to expertise in formal and traditional justice system; knowledge of relevant International and national legal instruments and legislation;
  • Excellent communication skills and experience of 3-4 years in public speaking, teaching, or training, with ability to conduct workshops or seminars in assigned focus areas;
  • Experience in report writing, public speaking, community visits and coordinating and communicating with NGOs, GoA Departments and UN agencies;
  • Proven initiative, flexibility and pro activity;
  • Able to work effectively within a multi-cultural team environment and a gender respectful settings
  • Ability to travel to field for extended periods;
  • Fluency in written and oral Dari, Uzbek and a good level of oral and written English
  • Experience of issues relating to returnees and displacement;
  • Familiarity with NRC work in the region;
  • Fluency in local language Dari/Pashtu (oral and written);
  • Computer literate (MS Office).
  • Holding Legal Defense License from Afghanistan Independent Bar Association is an asset

Education field

  • Education title: University degree in Sharia or Law and Political Science and a thorough knowledge of Afghan state laws
