Location: International Office, Innsbruck/Austria

SOS Children’s Villages International is the umbrella organisation for the global federation of SOS Children’s Villages. As a non-governmental social development organisation we support children without parental care and families in difficult living conditions through services in care, education, health and emergency relief, and we advocate for the rights of children and young people, in alliance with a great diversity of partners. We work in 135 countries and territories, reaching over one million children, young people, families and caregivers each year.

Main responsibilities

Our contribution to the SOS Children’s Villages of tomorrow is to support and facilitate the exchange on inspiring solutions and practises that enable families to care for and protect their children and youth. We network with internal and external partners on an international and regional level to keep up with care and protection trends and contribute to innovative practices.

As part of our team you will contribute as follows:
 

  • Project support within the Care & Child Safeguarding team

  • Provide logistical and administrative support for meetings and workshops

  • Assistance in preparing surveys, reports, graphics, presentations, information lists, wiki pages on the collaboration platform etc.

  • Do desktop research on key Care, Child Safeguarding and Youth Empowerment topics

 The profile

  • Finished BA studies in non-profit management, education or related areas

  • Good communication skills in English; Spanish or French an asset

  • Good writing abilities

  • Organisational and administrative experience an advantage

  • Graphic and design skills (brochures and presentations) would be advantageous

  • Excellent command of MS Office

  • Pro-active and independent style of working
