Job Description
Designed to catalyze the uptake of preterm and low birth weight interventions in low-resource settings, shared learning is central to the Every Preemie—SCALE Project’s mandate. As a member of the Every Preemie project team, the Senior Officer, Knowledge Management and Learning (KML) will ensure that programmatic information and learning generated by the project is captured, aggregated and shared broadly with global and national level stakeholders in target geographies. Drawing on implementation research (IR) in project demonstration countries, multi-country assessments and other project work, the Sr. Officer, KML will work closely with the Every Preemie team to lead the articulation and execution of a plan for KM/shared learning (KM/SL). The plan will include the development of “learning-to-advocacy” (L2A) products and their dissemination using a multi-media approach including web-based opportunities, working groups, events and networks led by donors, non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and professional associations at the global and country level. S/he will also lead the design of a plan as well as related tools and approaches to understand the catalytic effect of key project deliverables such as the country profiles and the Do No Harm technical briefs.
