We are seeking an intern to support the Violence against Children Survey (VACS) and knowledge management of policies and practices in child protection.

We are seeking an intern to support the Violence against Children Survey (VACS) and knowledge management of policies and practices in child protection. 3 months (8 January 2018 – 31 March 2018)

Key responsibilities

  • Assist in preparation of VACS, with contributions to the translation and proofing of the English translation of the key VACS documents, including research protocols, questionnaire, methodology, VACS implementation guideline, response plan and training manual.
  • Conduct literature reviews on policies and research reports in child protection thematic areas, both in Chinese to English, as needed
  • Other knowledge management tasks as required

Qualifications

  • Have completed undergraduate studies or with current enrolment or recent graduation from a graduate program preferred in English Translation Studies, or the area of social science or development studies.
  • Previous intern or social science research desired but not necessary.
  • Fluency in both English and Chinese required.
  • Good communication skills and a strong team player.
