The Quality Inspection Unit within the Quality Assurance Centre at UNICEF Supply Division, Copenhagen is looking for a dedicated Quality Assurance Assistant to mainly assist the Unit with the pre-delivery inspection arrangements, invoice certification and evaluating samples against bid-specifications.

The Quality Assurance Assistant assists the Quality Assurance Specialist (non-pharma) in Pre-delivery inspection arrangements, invoice certification and in evaluating samples against bid-specifications. In addition, the Quality Assurance Assistant provides help in goods receipt inspection, maintenance of test records, upkeep of laboratory and reports, etc.

The task will focus on the Quality Control aspects for the current kit packing requirements at SD and support for the upcoming sample evaluations for the kit packing services contracts. 

 

How can you make a difference?

Under the guidance of Quality Assurance Specialist and the Quality Assurance Assistant GS-6, the Quality Assurance Assistant provides assistance in the following areas:

  1. Assists in the daily requirements of the goods receipt inspection processes for the education items delivered into the UNICEF Supply Division Warehouse. Updating VISION (SAP) accordingly and maintain the inspection records.

  2. Registers samples received against invitation to bid for the education kit packing services bid. Helps supervisor in sample evaluation and inspection arrangements. Contribute to upkeep of the Quality Assurance laboratory.
  3. Maintains a detailed inventory and control of a large number of education item samples received to ensure the traceability and helps in disposing them after expiration of Long Term Agreements.

  4. Facilitates inspection of non-pharmaceutical goods received in the Warehouse. Assists in laboratory testing where required. Ensures that the quality of the product and packing meet the required standard. Keep Warehouse, Invoice Certification Unit and Contracting Centre informed about the status of rejected goods and consignments that require follow up or replacement.

  5. Drafts quality reports and updates VISION (SAP) on findings. The reports developed include – weekly/monthly bullet point report, KPI – Quality Inspection Unit/Quality Assurance Centre, rejected shipment and reports on bid sample evaluation work.
  6. Any other reasonable tasks required by the supervisor.

 

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

Requirements:

  • Valid work permit for and residency in Denmark at the time of applying
  • Completion of secondary education
  • Five (5) years of experience in the fields of quality inspection/assurance, or a technical or production facility
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office package in particular Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Fluency in English

Desirables:

  • Technical or university degree courses in engineering
  • Knowledge of SAP
  • Knowledge of an additional UN language (French, Spanish, Arabic, Russian, Chinese)
