The New Talent Team is looking for an intern to support with the preparation and implementation of the NETI outreach campaigns, career development portfolio and the NETI alumni community.

The New and Emerging Talent Initiative (NETI) is a unique entry point for dynamic professionals interested in pursuing an international career with UNICEF. As part of UNICEF's global talent management strategy, the NETI team focuses on attracting, selecting, developing and retaining new talent from entry to mid-career levels. NETI participants work actively in multicultural environments within the development and humanitarian arenas to contribute to delivering results for children.

Under the supervision of the HR Officer, New Talent Team, the intern will:

  • Support the preparation and implementation of the NETI outreach campaigns
  • Support the design, administration and implementation of an extensive recruitment and selection campaign for UNICEF’s NETI Programme.
  • Assist in the creation of data analysis including statistics and graphs on the NETI application process.
  • Support the management of the NETI career development portfolio including coaching, mentoring and buddy programmes.
  • Support internal communication efforts, such as writing blogs and articles, and creating content for online communities.
  • Assist in strengthening the NETI alumni community network.
  • Assist in the implementation of a new talent candidate management concept.
  • Assist with the preparation and implementation of the NETI orientation programme.

Duration:

  • January–June 2018 (part-time or full-time; start/end date is negotiable)
  • Preference will be given to candidates who are available full-time; stipend will be provided

Qualifications: 

  • Enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate or Ph.D. degree programme or have graduated within the past two years.
  • A first-level university degree in human resources management, international relations, business administration, marketing, communications, business administration, social sciences or related field. 
  • Fluency in English is required.
  • Knowledge of relevant computer systems and applications; excellent knowledge of MS Office is required.
  • Experience in the field of Human Resources Management is an asset.
